About the role

Our Home Health Registered Nurses are key members of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team, responsible for delivering evidence-based, person-centred nursing care to support customers in their own homes. This hybrid role will support you to work at your full scope of practice, providing quality care across a variety of work settings and caseloads.

To provide flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career goals, we are currently offering a casual position within our nursing team, working hours 0800-1600. This team support the Hospital in The Home program and work in and around the suburbs of the Perth Metro area

 

The day to day

The role will encompass completing in-home clinical assessments and provision of treatment in the management of acute conditions, duties such as:

  • Managing medication including IV antibiotics via PICCs
  • Complex wound care, including NPWT
  • Surgical drain tube management

About You

  • Unrestricted registration as a Registered nurse with AHPRA
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with proven ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated experience working in acute medical/surgical, emergency or other critical care  and/or community-based environment working with a diverse customer group.
  • Recent acute hospital experience highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with others to coordinate the delivery of care to customers
  • Demonstrated current practice knowledge and minimum 12 months experience in delivering care to customers receiving IVAB via PICC lines, complex wound care including NPWT, and surgical drain tube management

 

Current driver’s license and registered, insured roadworthy vehicle
