About the role:

  • Contract: Permanent Part-Time
  • Work Hours: 2 consecutive set days between 8am - 3pm - set days can be discussed at interview 
  • Hourly rate: $32.78 + Super 
  • Location: Victoria Grange Retirement Community, Vermont South

The Role

Come and join the team where we are leading the industry in driving our award-winning ‘Better Together’ model, raising the quality of living in our Aged Care and Retirement Villages.

We are currently looking for a Gardener to join our friendly team on a Part-Time basis.

As the Gardener, you will support residents’ wellbeing by maintaining attractive, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintaining gardens across the community, including:
    • Bush-style gardens
    • Front gardens and landscaped areas
  • Pruning trees, hedges, and shrubs
  • General garden upkeep, including weeding, mulching, and planting
  • Ensuring outdoor areas are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
  • Gurney (pressure) washing pathways and outdoor surfaces
  • Monitoring plant health and reporting issues where required
  • Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff
  • Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment

 

About You

  • Previous gardening or landscaping experience essential
  • Provide photos/records of gardens you have maintained (portfolio or examples)
  • Experience maintaining bush-style or residential gardens highly regarded
  • Knowledge of plant care, pruning, and seasonal garden maintenance
  • A service-focused attitude with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful
  • Fully vaccinated for 2026 Influenza (or willing to obtain) and COVID-19 (1-dose)
