The role 

 

We are currently looking for a customer-focused Bus Driver to join the friendly team at Victoria Grange Aged Care / Retirement Community in Vermont South on a part-time (4 days per week) basis. As the Bus Driver, you will provide a support service that enhances our customers’ wellbeing in the Vermont South, Glen Waverley, Kilsyth , and surrounding areas.  

 

What you will be doing 

 

  • Transporting our residents to entertainment, shopping, and recreational venues in the Eastern suburbs 

  • Driving a 19-seat bus, operating lifts, and ensuring the safety of our residents 

  • Building strong relationships within the organization and with residents from Campbell Place, Walmsley Village, and Victoria Grange communities    

  • Administration, including maintenance and logbook documentation 

  • Providing meaningful experiences that enable our residents to thrive   

 

About you 

 

  • An energetic, warm, compassionate, reliable, and physically fit team member 

  • A Light Rigid driving license and the ability to operate a 19-seater bus 

  • Holding a valid First Aid / CPR Certificate is highly desirable 

  • Previous experience as a bus or tour coach driver role 

  • Knowledge of the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne (preferred)   

  • Availability to work on a part-time basis (30 hours), Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 am to 4 pm

  • Willingness to have a medical assessment
