We are seeking an Assistant Retirement Community Manager to join our friendly team at Victoria Grange Retirement Village in Vermont South. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting the daily operations of a vibrant retirement community while helping residents enjoy a connected, engaging, and fulfilling lifestyle. This is a Permanent Part-Time position working Monday to Thursday 9am - 4:30pm/5pm. 

 

 

About the Role

Working alongside the Retirement Community Manager, you will support the smooth and efficient operation of the village while helping to deliver an exceptional resident experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the retirement community
  • Assisting in the leadership of administration, maintenance, gardening and contracted service teams
  • Building strong relationships with residents and responding to enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinating resident activities, events and community initiatives
  • Assisting with budgeting, financial administration, reporting and invoice processing
  • Supporting compliance and continuous improvement activities
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with Resident Committees to understand community needs and opportunities

 

 

About You

You are a capable and adaptable professional who enjoys variety and can confidently manage competing priorities.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in retirement living or a similar role (highly desirable)
  • Strong administrative, organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
  • Financial administration and budgeting skills
  • A proactive approach with well-developed problem-solving capabilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
