Location: Sydney, AU, 2000

Company: Australian Unity

Established in 1840, we’re Australia’s first member-owned wellbeing company.  A trusted Mutual with a rich history of over 180 years of delivering Real Wellbeing for our members, customers, and employees.

About Your New Role

As our Talent Sourcing Specialist, your primary objective is to pro-actively attract and guide great new talent into Australian Unity to support current and future hiring demand for our portfolio of Home Health and Residential Aged Care businesses in VIC, NSW, WA and QLD.

Our Talent Sourcing Specialists are an integral part of our very collaborative and engaging Talent Acquisition team for Care.

They provide the leadership, focus and approach around all things ‘talent sourcing and attraction’ and work in partnership with our Talent Acquisition Specialists within a set portfolio aligned regionally across both a number of our Residential Aged Care homes and Home Health (Community Home Care) neighbourhoods, to drive and deliver the recruitment supply and demand plan.

** This role will be based in our Sydney office at Parramatta.

About you

As our new TSS, you will love working in a high performing recruitment and talent team, where we work at pace, but have a lot of fun and collaboration along the way.

You will thrive on relationships and the people connection element and be comfortable ‘hunting’ and reaching out to passive talent, whilst engaging current candidates through our pre-screening and qualification process so they are engaged and ready to go for assessment/interview stages.

Pivotal to your success, will be your ability to identify new market strategies, manage and evolve current and new partnership relationships, and to successfully drive and develop talent pools and communities, to ensure candidate pipelines are available and evolving constantly to assist hiring demand.  Your ability to drive talent market mapping initiatives will also be highly beneficial.

Sound like you:

  • Experience within a recruiting, candidate management or sourcing role, from previous Agency or Internal/RPO roles, including a successful track record of strategic and creative sourcing for a diverse high volume and varied portfolio.
  • Working within an AI recruitment environment would be highly regarded as we are moving to this new way of working later this year.
  • Previous recruiting/talent sourcing experience within the Health/Aged Care sector would be useful but is not mandatory.
  • Experience with developing and growing both talent communities and effective candidate management strategies which grow relationships and connection to brand and EVP (Employee Value Proposition).
  • Effectively able to communicate our EVP to passive candidates through various communication, social media and tech channels.
  • Experience in providing scalable volume of talent to support a Virtual/Non-Virtual assessment centre model, ensuring talent sourcing, pre-screening and coordination are managed in partnership with a recruiting team.
  • Experience developing partnerships with community organisations, education and learning institutions and other social enterprise businesses to develop effective and consistent talent pathways.
  • High level stakeholder engagement and team collaboration skills and approach

Your Benefits:

You will join a truly values driven organisation and team within a national talent function who are evolving so successfully – we were a proud finalist in the Candidate Experience category at the Seek Awards 2022/2023.

You will enjoy a range of great employee benefits including:

  • Competitive Remuneration
  • Attractive performance incentive program and bonus potential
  • A range of attractive staff discounts on Insurance and Private Health Insurance products.
  • Supported Learning and Career Development program
  • Supportive Parental Leave program
  • Flexible Working Arrangements including Work-From-Home days weekly
  • Additional paid Wellbeing and Community Volunteer Days yearly
