The Role
Come and join the team where we are leading the industry in driving our award winning 'Better Together' model, raising the quality of living in our Aged Care Residences and Retirement Villages. We are currently looking for a Maintenance & Gardening Officer to join the friendly team at Willandra Village and Bungalows at Cromer, NSW.
This role could be appointed either Full Time or on a Part Time contract working a minimum of 3 days per week - 22.5 hours weekly.
What you will be doing

Providing a range of general maintenance and building maintenance duties – this may include painting, lighting maintenance, gutters, air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing and other general repairs

Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff

Maintenance of the shared spaces, ensuring a high standard of presentation

General gardening maintenance

Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate
About you
-
No qualifications are required, generally you will be a handy man, a 'Jack of All Trades', who enjoys a varied role including changing taps to painting to setting up for functions.

Previous experience in a Retirement Community, Aged Care, or hotel/resort environment advantageous but not mandatory.

A service, solution, and preventative approach with strong customer service skills

Good knowledge of maintenance and management of gardens and grounds

Willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful

Availability to work Monday to Friday

Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID 19 (2 Doses)
