We are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor & Practice Lead to join our dedicated community-based team. This is a virtual role, supporting both telephone and online health services within our MindStep program. We are also a proud partner of Beyond Blue, we work together to deliver vital support services to Australians in need.

 

We are offering a permanent part time position with flexibility to match your lifestyle and career goals:

  • Position can be located anywhere in Australia 
  • Part time position: 24 hours per week
  • 3 days per week (days negotiable throughout the Monday to Friday week)
  • Flexibility on offer regarding start and finish times, which will include working nights to cover our 24/7 operations

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Supervisor & Practice Lead, you will provide high-quality supervision and guidance to practitioners delivering Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LiCBT) and other brief therapeutic interventions. You’ll contribute to clinical governance, support service improvement initiatives, and help ensure our services are responsive, evidence-based, and person-centred.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong clinical background, a passion for mentoring, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes in the community.

 

You will:

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to mental health practitioners including Team Leaders, ensuring adherence to best practice and ethical standards.
  • Use clinical data and reporting tools to inform supervision and contribute to service improvement.
  • Support the implementation of stepped care models and brief therapeutic interventions.
  • Engage with community networks to facilitate appropriate referrals and service connections.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality assurance processes.
  • Promote the use of digital platforms for telehealth, remote supervision, and clinical documentation.

 

About you 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Psychology along with full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist
  • A Supervision Qualification, including completion of Clinical Supervisor Training
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LiCBT), or at least 1 year of LiCBT experience combined with tertiary qualifications in a related field
  • Desired experience in Single Session interventions or brief therapeutic models such as solution-focused therapy or problem-solving therapy
  • A strong understanding of contemporary mental health issues affecting individuals across Australia
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement and/or facilitating connections between individuals and appropriate support services or networks
  • Proven experience in case management or oversight within mental health services
  • Ability to interpret and utilise clinical data and reporting tools to inform supervision and drive service improvement
  • Familiarity with stepped care models in mental health and their practical application in service delivery
  • Exposure to clinical governance, quality assurance processes, or participation in service improvement initiatives
  • Experience using digital platforms for telehealth, remote supervision, and clinical documentation

 

Additional  

You will be provided with relevant technology equipment to support you with your work from home setup however will be required to have the following:

  • Private room or space which can be used for your home office set up
  • Reliable and stable internet connection 
  • Demonstrated IT skills and proficiency in telephony-based systems where you are comfortable navigating multiple software, digital note taking and counselling and support simultaneously.
