The role 

We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Full Time Chef Manager to join our wonderful Aged Care team at Sienna Grange in Port Macquarie.

As the Chef Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Hospitality Teams while they prepare resident meals to the highest quality while maintaining the highest hygiene standards.

We are not only focused on providing exceptional care to our residents but to provide a safe, secure, friendly, and supportive environment for our staff members.

What you will be doing  

• Preparing nutritious meals, snacks, and desserts to the highest standards
• Maintaining hygiene standards within the kitchen and adhering to health and safety procedures
• Developing relationships with residents and their families, providing companionship at mealtimes, and seeking feedback on menu improvements
• Ensuring stock levels are maintained and ordering completed in line with facility budgets
• Working with a friendly team of Cooks, Kitchen Hands and Food Service Assistants

About you  

We are looking for an experienced Chef with the following qualities and skills: 

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Food Safety Certificate (HLTFSE001) or willingness to obtain one
• A strong customer focus
• Experience in a similar role within Aged Care or a commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements/modified meals beneficial
• Willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful
• Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID 19 (2 Doses)
