Your New Role 

Come and join the team where we are leading the industry in driving our award winning 'Better Together' model, raising the quality of living in our Aged Cares and Retirement Villages. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the friendly team at The Grace Retirement Apartments and The Alba Aged Care in South Melbourne on a Full-Time basis, Monday - Friday.

 

As a Maintenance Officer you will lead the team and provide services to maintain our facilities. 

  

What does your new role look like? 

  • Providing a range of general maintenance and building maintenance duties - this may include painting, lighting maintenance, gutters, air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing and other general repairs 

  • Developing and implementing a preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance program 

  • Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff 

  • Maintenance of the shared spaces, ensuring a high standard of presentation 

  • Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate 

  

 

About you 

  • Previous maintenance experience. Trade background/qualifications preferred but not essential. 

  • Previous experience in a Retirement Community, Aged Care, or hotel environment advantageous 

  • A service, solution, and preventative approach with strong customer service skills 

  • Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and asset management/ordering systems 

  • Willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful 

  • Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID 19 (2 Doses)
