Your New Role
As the Chef Manager , you will lead a team at The Alba in South Melbourne to provide hospitality services to all residents, including assisting with the efficient preparation and delivery of quality meals.
You will enjoy working within our Better Together® social model of ageing well, which offers a continuum of care and support services for our Residents, within a range of accommodation options in one location.
What Your New Role Looks Like:
- Preparing nutritious dinners and desserts to the highest standards
- Knowledge of Allergens and Intolerances and catering for individual dietary requirements
- Driving new ACQS regulatory standards.
- Managing stock levels, ensuring that ordering for the facility is done correctly and in line with budgets.
- Maintaining hygiene standards within the kitchen and adhering to health and safety procedures
- Leading and supporting team of Food Service Assistants and Chefs and Cooks.
- Full- Time employment, the location of the role is 114 Albert road in South Melbourne . The hours are Monday through to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
- Catering to special dietary and nutritional needs of residents
- Interacting with residents and providing person centred care.

Does this sound like you?
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery
- A Food Handling or Food Safety Certificate (HLTFSE001) or willingness to obtain one
- A strong customer focus and leadership skills.
- Experience in a similar role within Aged Care or catering would be advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of special dietary requirements/modified meals beneficial
- Fully Vaccinated for Covid 19, including the booster and influenza.

The salary range for this role is $73,150 to $110,000 and the role will be advertised from the 20th of January 2025 to 20th of February 2025
