About the role 

Role: Chef

Contract: Permanent Part-Time 

Facility: Constitution Hill, Northmead  

Roster: 6:30am - 2:30pm Wednesday to Friday

Hourly rate: $37.72 + super

 

What you will be doing

As the Chef you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Hospitality team while preparing resident meals to the highest quality and maintaining the highest hygiene standards. We are not only focused on providing exceptional care to our residents but to provide a safe, secure, friendly, and supportive environment for our staff members.

  • Preparing nutritious meals, snacks, and desserts to the highest standards
  • Maintaining hygiene standards within the kitchen and adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Developing relationships with residents and their families, providing companionship at mealtimes, and seeking feedback on menu improvements
  • Working with a friendly team of Cooks, Kitchen Hands and Food Service Assistants

 

About you  

We are looking for an experienced Chef with the following qualities and skills: 

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • A strong customer focus
  • Experience in a similar role within Aged Care or a commercial kitchen
  • Knowledge of special dietary requirements/modified meals (beneficial)
  • Have a current NDISCW or willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful
  • Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID-19 (1 dose)
