Casual Chef | Aged Care

About the role: 

• • Facility: Constitution Hill Aged Care facility, Northmead NSW
  • Pay Rate: $3772 p/h + Super + Casual loading (Note: hourly rate is effective as of July 2025)
  • Shifts: 0630-1430 or 0930-1730 (7.5hrs) 
  • Days: Monday to Friday shift coverage - NO WEEKEND SHIFTS available at this time.

Your New Role

Are you passionate about food and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents? We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Chef to join our team at Constitution Hill where we are leading the industry in driving our award winning ‘Better Together’ model, raising the quality of living in Aged Care.

As the Chef you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Hospitality Teams while preparing resident meals to the highest quality and maintaining the highest hygiene standards. We are not only focused on providing exceptional care to our residents but to provide a safe, secure, friendly, and supportive environment for our staff members.

What you will be doing  

• Preparing nutritious meals, snacks, and desserts to the highest standards
• Maintaining hygiene standards within the kitchen and adhering to health and safety procedures
• Developing relationships with residents and their families, providing companionship at mealtimes, and seeking feedback on menu improvements
• Working with a friendly team of Cooks, Kitchen Hands and Food Service Assistants

About you  

We are looking for an experienced Chef with the following qualities and skills: 

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• A Food Handling / Food Safety Certificate (HLTFSE001) or willingness to obtain one
• A strong customer focus
• Experience in a similar role within Aged Care or a commercial kitchen
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements/modified meals beneficial
• Willing to obtain an NDIS Clearance Check if successful
• Fully vaccinated for 2025 Influenza and COVID 19 (2 Doses)
