Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

We are looking for an experienced Vendor Relationship Manager to join our Wealth & Capital Markets team on a 4-month fixed term contract (paternity leave cover). This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our key service providers deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective services that align with Australian Unity’s standards and strategic goals.

 

You’ll work closely with operational teams and Group colleagues to oversee the performance of our ‘Gold’ and ‘Silver’ tier vendors, ensuring service levels are met, risks are managed, and continuous improvement opportunities are realised.

 

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Managing regular vendor performance reviews and governance forums, including addressing any penalties or escalations.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with approved service providers.
  • Overseeing vendor compliance with contractual agreements, SLAs, and Australian Unity’s risk and governance frameworks.
  • Supporting operational teams with budgeting, contract renewals, and vendor selection processes.
  • Reviewing invoices and ensuring billing accuracy against agreements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Providing clear reporting and insights to stakeholders on vendor performance and outcomes.
  • Ensuring vendor participation in incident management and post-incident reviews.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Management team on contract renewals and risk management.

 

 

 

About you:

 

  • Experience in vendor or third-party service management, ideally within financial services or a regulated industry.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • A detail-oriented and proactive approach to monitoring performance, managing risk, and driving improvement.
  • Strong governance and commercial awareness, with confidence in handling budgets and contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information for stakeholders.
