Our Opportunity:

 

Reporting to the Application Support Manager, the primary responsibility for this role is to deliver best practice service support and implementation of solutions across all aspects of the Financial Services Technology portfolio.

 

This will be achieved through:

 

  • Understanding business needs and priorities to support the resolution of service requests across Financial Services
  • Effective service request management coordination across the Financial Services Technology Team, Platform Business Unit, internal/external service providers and Vendors
  • Enhancing and maintaining a best practice centralised service request toolset for all service requests across Financial Services
  • Service request analysis and permanent remedial solution identification
  • Perform root cause analysis on production environment problems and recommending permanent solutions for identified issues
  • Execution of change and release requests according to documented procedures
  • Develop and maintain issue resolution and implementation knowledge base for the Financial Services Technology portfolio
  • Building and maintain business relationships with key internal/external stakeholders, managing client expectations.

 

About You:

 

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities / experience:

 

  • A relevant Business degree or Industry Certification (desirable)
  • Exposure to Microsoft Reporting Services
  • Understanding of best practice SQL constructs and Database administration framework principals
  • Linux operating system experience
  • Informix database management experience
  • Understanding of the System Development Lifecycle
  • Experience in implementing and supporting solutions within the Funds Management Industry (desirable)
  • An understanding of Six Sigma and ITIL frameworks (advantageous)
