Your New Role Looks Like This

 

As the Social Media & Content Specialist, you will drive Australian Unity’s content production, social media presence and owned channel ecosystem, delivering on Australian Unity’s Real Wellbeing positioning.

 

The role brings Australian Unity’s brand and content strategies to life on owned channels—including social media, paid media and the Real Wellbeing Content Hub—by delivering clear and effective content that enhances customer engagement and grows Australian Unity’s reputation and impact across the community.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Lead the development of digital content—internal and external—ensuring it aligns with editorial standards and the Real Wellbeing content strategy.
  • Manage the development of owned digital channels including the Real Wellbeing Content Hub.
  • Lead content and social media calendars. Overseeing the ideation, creation, and publishing of Real Wellbeing content on owned channels (Sitecore CMS and Meltwater).
  • Work with stakeholders to deliver relevant and thought-provoking Real Wellbeing content to the market that aligns with strategy, products and services.
  • Lead colleagues in responding directly to social media comments and enquiries, using the brand tone of voice and guidelines.
  • Lead colleagues in the development of monthly reports on channel engagement and content performance.
  • Support the quarterly Editorial Committee process, including briefing, playback, and allocation of resources.

 

About You

 

The Social Media & Content Specialist has a passion for digital culture, creativity and is a results-driven professional, who is organised and detail-orientated with strong time management skills.

You have a finger on the social media pulse, understand content best practice and follow trends in a busy and changing landscape. You’re forward thinking and excited about using new tools and technology to advance digital content and solutions.

 

A confident communicator who can liaise effectively with stakeholders and a team collaborator who is a proactive problem solver and takes initiative. In addition to this you will also possess:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field, along with proven experience in social media and content creation.
  • Experience across social media (Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn, TikTok), Google Analytics and social media management tools.
  • A deep passion for creating impactful content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Experience writing across various digital channels. Including the ability to think outside the box, crafting innovative solutions in a manner that is clear, engaging and customer centric.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and experience in a collaborative environment that works with cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.
  • Experience and interpersonal skills to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring that communications objectives are met while keeping customer experience at the heart of what you do.
  • CSM experience, ideally Sitecore would be very highly regarded.
