Your New Role Looks Like This:
As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the transition of employees from My Home Care to Australian Unity by working on People & Culture systems. Your primary focus will be managing the technical aspects of the change, which includes developing clear and concise documentation, process mapping, data modelling, and managing integrations, both internal and external. You will also need to assess and understand the impact on downstream systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and delivering detailed requirements, analyzing the current state, and helping to design solutions. You will manage all aspects of testing and assist in the delivery of new and updated services. Success in this position requires strong stakeholder engagement to foster effective collaboration across the business. With an agile approach, you will facilitate agile ceremonies, develop user stories, and offer technical guidance throughout the application and solution development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Australian Unity’s strategy and customer-focused outcomes.
Additionally, you will contribute to thought leadership within the organization and provide expert technical insights to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitate ideation and inception workshops.
- Break down complex business problems into epics, features and stories clearly articulating requirements. Skills required to elaborate user stories and define meaningful acceptance criteria, RAIDs, non-functional requirements etc.
- Facilitate requirement gathering workshops with PO’s, business stakeholders, architects, and technical resources to elicit requirements and clearly articulate business needs. Use innovative approaches that satisfy stakeholders and demonstrate their buy-in.
- Actively collaborate with team members to refine, manage, and communicate business requirements.
- Active ownership of the Product Backlog and play a supporting role in sprint planning ceremonies with prioritised stories.
- Support Project Lead in status reporting of the release/backlog.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and work with the allocated Project Team to deliver initiatives through structured planning.
- Facilitate traceability of the requirements through design, build, testing and deployment.
- Facilitate workshops drive and inform business requirements
Please note that this role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a senior role.
- Strong understanding of People and Culture processes and requirements.
- Experience with ServiceNow, OpenText, and SuccessFactors is highly regarded.
- Experience dealing with senior stakeholders, Product Owners, System Architects, Developers, Testers, Design Teams, Customer and User Experience experts to drive business solutions that align with project objectives.
- Ability to recommend technology and process solutions to improve business performance.
- Ability to quickly grasp business rules and procedures.
- Strong communication skills including technical guidance to users on the use of applications and systems, both verbally and in writing.
- Desirable to have exposure to enterprise testing tools and conducting UAT testing with the business.
- Experience of working with Human Centered Design concepts, Lean process methodologies and Six Sigma will be viewed positively.
