Your New Role Looks Like This:
Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for delivering purpose-driven outcomes? Join Australian Unity as a Senior Sales Manager – Retirement Communities, where you’ll lead a high-performing state-based sales team to drive growth and create positive, supportive experiences for current and future residents.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing, this role offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our sales function. You’ll work closely with prospective residents and their families to help them transition into retirement living, while also overseeing property resales as residents move on.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed occupancy and revenue targets.
· Market & Competitor Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends to inform strategic decisions and uncover new opportunities for growth.
· Performance & Pipeline Management: Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across the sales cycle.
· Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage sales data and insights to influence business decisions and report to senior leadership.
· Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and empower a team of three Sales Managers and one Sales Coordinator to achieve collective success.
· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders in Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Seniors Living to align on business objectives.
· Community Engagement: Represent Australian Unity at expos and events (occasional weekend work required), and build local partnerships to drive awareness and leads.
· CRM Oversight: Maintain accurate records of all interactions and opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring visibility across the sales journey.
· Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver regular sales performance updates and contribute to forecasting and strategic planning.
About You:
· 7+ years of experience in a senior sales leadership role, including managing teams
· Proven success in sales within a high-trust, service-oriented industry
· Deep understanding of the Retirement Living sector
· Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate business insights
· Experienced in sales reporting and performance tracking
· Knowledge of relevant state and federal legislative requirements related to sales and documentation
· Current Real Estate License (relevant jurisdiction)
· Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a results-oriented mindset
