Our Opportunity

 

We have an exciting new position we are recruiting for as part of our Data Practice. Reporting to the Head of Data Strategy, the Senior Data Analyst will support the Enterprise Data team, in their strategy, planning and delivering of strategic and tactical change alongside uplift in business-as-usual activities. With focus on extraction, manipulation, cleaning, testing, reporting and visualization of data from primary sources, this role will also play a critical role in prioritization, business requirements gathering, Business Case / Use Case development & acting as an anchor to the end-to-end Data projects.

 

This will include, but not limited to:

 

  • Collaborate with the data team and business stakeholders to understand and document the business requirements, own the IDA (Interface Dependency Agreement) document, analyse the data, and create a source to target mapping, amongst other key deliverables.
  • Provide guidance, direction and technical solutions for the extraction, manipulation, and analysis of data from structured and/or unstructured data sources using tools such as SQL, R, Python, Tableau or equivalent software.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, reports, and analytical documentation necessary to ensure knowledge is captured and retained within the team and that team tools are developed and refined.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business units and IT specialists.
  • Data Analyst Practice Chapter uplift with focus on education in the use of data analytics to help drive business benefits.
  • Maintain continuous professional development and training to remain abreast of

current data analytics practices and techniques.

 

About You:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems); advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) would be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis domain with escalating experience demonstrating higher order data extraction, cleaning, and testing capabilities.
  • Sound knowledge of data methodology and practices with experience in waterfall and agile approaches.
  • Meticulous approach to data analysis lifecycle management (requirements, extraction, cleansing, analyzing, presenting, reporting).
  • Demonstrated prioritization and use case development skills. Including the ability to work within a complex environment of direct and indirect reporting requirements.
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in delivering data project management tasks and delivering to agreed quality, timelines and budget requirements.
  • Solid understanding of data management, data governance and data privacy principles where they are applicable to data project management.
  • Successfully delivered data analysis outcomes into production, partnering with Operations and Engineering teams with minimal defects post a warranty period.
