Our opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Commercial Finance Manager to join our Wealth & Capital Markets Finance and Commercial team. This role is critical in supporting the Executive General Manager, Life & Super by providing strategic insights, managing financial operations including the integration of a strategic acquisition, and promoting a service uplift.

Accountabilities
- Partner with Leadership: Work closely with the Executive General Manager to evaluate strategic initiatives and achieve key business goals.
- Deliver Financial Insights: Use financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support decision-making and drive performance.
- Ensure Compliance: Oversee regulatory and capital requirements, manage governance, and maintain compliance with accounting standards like AASB 17.
- Oversee Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of Lifeplan benefit funds, including accounting, unit pricing, and tax obligations.
- Lead the Team: Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to a high-performing team to ensure success.
- Improve Processes: Refine and simplify budgets, forecasts, and other financial processes to improve efficiency and add value.
About You
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Strong experience in commercial finance, with skills in financial planning, analysis, and compliance.
- Advanced understanding of financial controls and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to transform a finance function.
- A track record of managing operations, meeting deadlines, and delivering accurate financial results.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and provide sound advice.
- Leadership experience, with a focus on team development and achieving results.
