Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst with extensive People Systems and Payroll experience to immerse themselves into a collaborative People and Culture Technology & Systems team.  Extensive People and Culture (P&C) experience is required with a focus on payroll compliance, time & attendance and HRIS, including a strong understanding of complex system integrations.  Your strong analysis skills and broad understanding of the P&C landscape will compliment your ability to work with stakeholders to define the necessary requirements.  .

 

You will be contributing by collaborating with key stakeholders while facilitating workshops, delivering business analysis outcomes and artifacts, define process maps, develop user stories, acceptance criteria and managing change. You will be working with an agile mindset with the ability to break down complex business requirements into epics, user stories and tasks. Your experience facilitating agile ceremonies such as Backlog Grooming, Estimation, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up and Retrospectives is required.

 

You will work closely with the Project Lead, System Lead, System Analysts, Domain & Solution Architect, Technology Lead, Developers, Quality Assurance and external Vendors.  Your experience dealing with external vendors to ensure the product requirements are delivered in line with our expectations is required.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyse and optimise recruitment, onboarding and payroll processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business needs
  • Collaborate with the Payroll SME and System Analysts to ensure changes meet payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Develop and document P&C process improvements to streamline operations and improve employee experience
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all P&C functions, particularly in payroll and employee data management
  • Create strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Facilitate workshops to elicit requirements
  • Define User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Manage sprint goals, story estimation and provide clearly documented outcomes
  • Change management is communicated and respective stories updated accurately
  • Clearly articulate the user story and acceptance criteria to the Quality Assurance team
  • Utilise Jira to manage backlog, sprints, sprint burndown reports, providing project updates

 

 

About You:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field
  • Deep understanding of payroll compliance, with knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations
  • Broad understanding of recruitment, employee onboarding and employee files
  • Experience working across complex integrations
  • Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems, preferably SuccessFactors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal relationship building
  • Strong skills and experience in Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, coordination and time management skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and drive conversation to outcome clarity.
