Our Opportunity: 

 

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Internal Audit, to lead audits across our Group Enabling Functions, including Finance, People & Culture and Governance (Risk, Legal and Compliance).

 

In this influential role, you’ll design and execute a risk-based internal audit plan, providing insights that help senior leaders manage key financial, operational, and compliance risks. You’ll work closely with executives to understand emerging issues, regulatory changes, and evolving business priorities — ensuring our audit focus remains forward-looking and relevant

 

Accountabilities include:

 

  • Lead the development and execution of the Internal Audit Plan for Group Enabling Functions, ensuring risk-based coverage of financial, operational and regulatory compliance risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and engage with senior leaders to identify emerging issues, regulatory developments, and to assess key controls.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the risks, including financial management, payroll, remuneration, HR data privacy, and risk governance.
  • Assess how the business manages financial (including liquidity, investment and capital management) and operational risks, including compliance with relevant regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee and deliver complex, high-quality audit engagements that drive actionable insights and positive business impacts.
  • Build trusted relationships with Senior Executives and Business Leaders.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations that are clear, constructive, and commercially sound.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a talented team of auditors, fostering curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking.

 

About You:

 

You are an experienced and strategic audit leader with a strong grasp of financial and operational risks across Corporate and Enabling Functions.  You combine analytical depth with sound judgment, and you know how to turn insights into meaningful outcomes for the business. You build credibility quickly, collaborate effectively with senior leaders, and bring a thoughtful, coaching approach to developing your team.

 

You bring:

 

  • You will have around 10 – 12+ years’ of internal audit, risk management or financial control experience, including time spent leading complex audits and managing or coaching others. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits across Finance, HR, Risk, or other enabling
  • Strong knowledge of financial and operational risk management, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working in or auditing large, complex and highly regulated organisations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing people and fostering high performance
  • Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CIA (or equivalent) are highly regarded
