Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

Join Australian Unity’s Healthcare Property Trust (HPT) as an Asset Manager (AM) and drive the performance of a diverse portfolio of healthcare properties. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping the future of our property investments by optimizing asset performance and delivering exceptional outcomes for our stakeholders.

 

This position reports directly to the National Portfolio Manager of the Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust and works closely with the broader Australian Unity Real Estate Investments (AUREI) team. As an AM, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day operations of our healthcare property investments while driving innovation, fostering relationships, and influencing long-term success in a growing and dynamic sector.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Drive Portfolio Performance: Maximise income and capital property returns by executing tailored strategies and business plans for each property.
  • Manage Key Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with tenants, external property managers, and other stakeholders to deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • Lead Projects: Oversee major capital works, development projects, and Project Control Group forums to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Financial Oversight: Take ownership of financial management, approving budgets, and providing regular reports on asset performance and market trends.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensure compliance with financial and commercial agreements, and maintain robust sustainability practices.
  • Leasing & Negotiations: Implement leasing strategies, negotiate lease terms, and manage lease executions to support portfolio growth.
  • Market Expertise: Play a key role in acquisitions, divestments, and valuation reviews, providing insights and recommendations that shape future investment decisions.

 

Please note that this role is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months.

 

About You:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in property, finance or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Relevant property industry experience with strong focus on asset management incorporating development projects/exposure.
  • Possess technical expertise, in particular in contract, commercial, legal and financial frameworks.
  • Knowledge of property related legislation.
  • Developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and strong business and commercial judgement.
  • Possess a variety of industry networks.
  • Strive for industry best practice.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and encourage others.
