About the Opportunity

We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Analyst to join our Insurances team.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Enablement, you'll support the development and delivery of business strategy through high-quality commercial analysis, structured problem-solving and clear executive insights. You'll work across internal and external data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, build robust business cases and help shape the strategic priorities that position the business for success.

This is a hands-on role for a high-performing analyst who enjoys working through ambiguous problems and turning complex information into clear recommendations. You'll contribute to strategic projects, prepare executive and board materials, and undertake ad hoc analysis for senior leaders, including the CEO and key business review forums.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver commercial analysis: Analyse internal and external data to identify business trends, risks, opportunities and performance drivers.
  • Support strategy delivery: Contribute to strategic initiatives and planning processes, taking ownership of defined analytical workstreams and deliverables.
  • Build business cases: Develop structured analysis and commercial models to assess growth opportunities, cost pressures and investment decisions.
  • Turn data into insight: Structure ambiguous problems using hypothesis-driven approaches and translate analysis into clear implications and recommendations.
  • Prepare executive materials: Develop narrative-led presentations, briefings and draft slides for executive and board audiences.
  • Assess the competitive environment: Analyse industry trends, competitor positioning, regulatory developments and changing market dynamics.
  • Support healthcare commercial decisions: Analyse claims trends, utilisation, hospital cost drivers and provider performance to inform commercial and contracting decisions.
  • Partner across the business: Work closely with Strategy, Commercial, Finance, Actuarial, Product, Growth and Provider teams to deliver practical outcomes.
  • Respond to emerging priorities: Undertake targeted and ad hoc analysis for senior leaders, adapting quickly as business priorities evolve.

About You

You're a sharp, curious and commercially focused analyst who can bring structure to complex questions and communicate your thinking clearly. You enjoy working with data, but you're equally comfortable stepping back to understand the broader business context and what the analysis means for decision-makers.

You may have built your experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or a commercial role. You don't need to be a seasoned specialist, but you will bring strong analytical foundations, high standards and the confidence to take ownership of your work from initial question through to an executive-ready output.

You will bring:

  • 2+ years' experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, commercial analysis or a similar environment
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability, including the ability to work through ambiguity
  • Experience using data to generate insights, recommendations and commercially sound decisions
  • The ability to develop clear business cases, commercial models and structured strategic outputs
  • Strong PowerPoint and written communication skills, with the ability to create concise, narrative-led executive materials
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of business performance drivers
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and workstreams while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • A pragmatic, outcome-focused approach and willingness to work hands-on from analysis through to final delivery

Experience in healthcare, private health insurance or another regulated industry will be highly regarded but is not essential. We welcome applications from strong consulting candidates who are keen to bring their skills into an in-house strategy and commercial environment.

Applications will close on Tuesday, 27 October 2026.
