Our Opportunity:
The Salesforce Environment and Release Manager is a critical position focused on orchestrating the efficient, secure, and reliable management of our Salesforce environments and release processes. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead the implementation of robust release strategies and environment management practices that support the growth, stability, and scalability of the Salesforce platform, delivering exceptional outcomes for our business and stakeholders.
You will be supporting the in-progress implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud, ensuring its successful delivery while laying the foundation for its seamless integration into ongoing BAU operations. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the project and BAU phases, enabling the platform’s continued growth and evolution to meet business and customer needs effectively.
Accountabilities include:
- Acting as the guardian of the Salesforce landscape, Ensuring seamless integration and coordination across environments while driving process improvements that enhance the quality and speed of platform changes
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining a streamlined release management framework that aligns with Australian Unity’s business goals and technology strategies.
- Building and optimising processes that safeguard the integrity and performance of the platform.
- Identifying and mitigating risks during deployments, establishing a culture of operational excellence and reliability across the team.
- Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that the deployment lifecycle, from development to production, is seamless and efficient.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities/experience:
- Proven experience in managing stakeholder expectations, communicating complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders, and ensuring clear communication for all release and environment-related activities.
- Hands-on experience in process optimisation, with a focus on automating release workflows, streamlining environment management, and introducing best practices for efficiency and reliability.
- Expertise in overseeing the full release lifecycle, from planning and testing to deployment, ensuring alignment with development and business teams to deliver stable and scalable releases.
- Strong experience with tools like Salesforce DX, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Change Sets, and other Salesforce-native or third-party release management solutions, driving automation and best practices.
- Solid track record in managing Salesforce environments, including sandbox management, release trains, environment refreshes, and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or other relevant qualifications, are highly desirable.
- Proven track record of quickly identifying and resolving issues during the release process, including troubleshooting deployment.
