Our Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Risk & Compliance Manager to support our Home Health business. Whether you’re an experienced advisor or a rising star in risk and compliance, this role offers the chance to step up and make a real impact—supporting the safe and effective delivery of services that help Australians thrive in their own homes.

Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, you’ll play a key role in applying and embedding Australian Unity’s risk and compliance frameworks. You’ll help build awareness, support smart decision-making, and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be a Trusted Partner: Support leaders and teams to understand and manage risk, ensuring they meet their compliance obligations with confidence.
  • Apply Risk Frameworks: Help implement risk and compliance practices tailored to the needs of the Home Health platform.
  • Build Capability: Support training and initiatives that strengthen risk awareness and foster a proactive compliance culture.
  • Monitor and Improve: Help assess risk controls, identify gaps, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Stay Ahead: Monitor regulatory changes and emerging risks, providing timely insights and guidance.
  • Contribute to Key Decisions: Add value by offering risk perspectives in business initiatives, changes, and strategic planning.
  • Engage in Governance: Participate in forums and discussions, contributing to oversight and continuous improvement.

 

About you

 

You might have a few years of experience under your belt in risk, compliance, audit, or operations—and you’re now ready to grow into a role with more responsibility and visibility. You enjoy working with others, have strong attention to detail, and are eager to make a difference in a purpose-driven organisation.

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of five years post-graduate experience in a risk, compliance or audit related role
  • A knowledge of the risk management and compliance / regulatory framework applicable to Australian Unity’s businesses
  • Industry experience relevant to Australian Unity’s business portfolios or a strong working knowledge of Aged Care or health services legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience of leading and influencing through change and working agilely in complex environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and gain support for relevant initiatives
