About the Opportunity:

 

Join our Wealth & Capital Markets team as a Risk & Compliance Manager - Property Funds Management.

 

This is a fixed-term contract opportunity, until 30 April 2027.

 

Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance, Wealth & Capital Markets, you'll provide trusted risk and compliance advice across our property funds management business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll help ensure risks are effectively managed, regulatory obligations are met and strong governance practices support business objectives.

 

You’ll play a key role in providing oversight across managed investment schemes, property investments and development activities, while partnering with the business to strengthen risk culture, improve controls and support strategic initiatives.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Provide proactive second-line risk and compliance advice to Funds Management, Property Development and Asset Management teams
  • Support strategic initiatives, transactions, capital raising activities and governance forums through independent risk oversight
  • Provide oversight of managed investment scheme obligations, compliance plans and governance arrangements
  • Review and challenge product governance practices, investor outcomes and conduct risk management
  • Facilitate risk assessments, control self-assessments and risk reviews for key business initiatives
  • Oversee incident, breach and regulatory compliance management, including remediation activities
  • Provide independent oversight of outsourcing and third-party service provider risks
  • Deliver risk reporting, insights and analysis to governance forums and senior stakeholders
  • Support compliance with AFSL, ASIC, AUSTRAC and broader regulatory obligations while driving continuous improvement in risk culture and controls

 

About You:

 

You're an experienced risk and compliance professional who enjoys partnering with the business to deliver practical solutions while maintaining strong governance standards. You are commercially minded, highly credible and able to influence stakeholders at all levels through thoughtful advice, constructive challenge and strong relationship management.

 

You bring excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and translate requirements into practical outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about supporting a strong risk culture while enabling business growth and innovation.

 

You will bring:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline
  • 8-10+ years' experience in risk, compliance, audit or legal roles
  • Strong experience within funds management, asset management or financial services risk and compliance
  • Sound knowledge of Managed Investment Scheme obligations, AFSL requirements and the Corporations Act
  • Experience providing risk and compliance oversight within complex and regulated environments
  • The ability to influence, challenge and build strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the business
  • Strong communication, governance and reporting capabilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Relevant risk management or compliance qualifications will be advantageous.
