Our Opportunity:
We currently have a 18 month fixed term full time opportunity for a Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our Home Health Risk, Compliance and Quality Assurance Team. You will assist in overseeing risk and compliance processes, designing and performing control testing, monitoring and analysing key risk and control indicators and overall the effectiveness of risk and compliance management systems.
Accountabilities include:
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of risk and compliance procedures to ensure they meet best practice risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Perform analysis and review across the risk management system to derive risk insights and learnings and to ensure consistency of approach throughout the organisation
- Contribute to initiatives that increase business awareness of the risk management and compliance frameworks including the linkages between risk appetite, risk assessment, obligations, control assessment and incident management.
- Contribute on the development and roll-out of risk and compliance training that supports values-driven culture and a mature risk and compliance capability by working collaboratively with the business and Group Risk & Compliance team.
- Monitor and maintain data governance in the GRC system (Archer), ensuring any incidents, metric reporting and control test are being completed appropriately.
- Design and perform control testing to provide second line assurance that controls are designed appropriately and are operating effectively.
- Critically assess whether current controls in place provide sufficient risk mitigation, are appropriately designed and are operating effectively in the context of Australian Unity’s business environment.
- Assist the business units to identify, establish and manage key risk and control indicators to provide continuous notification of changes in risk exposure and compliance.
- Prepare regular reporting for Boards, Committees and Senior Management on control testing outcomes and key risk and control indicators.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities / experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of two years post-graduate experience in a risk and compliance or related role
- Industry experience relevant to Australian Unity’s business portfolios or a strong working knowledge of Aged Care or health services legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with working agilely in fast passed structured and complex corporate environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks to tight deadlines and the flexibility to handle constantly changing priorities
