About the Opportunity:
The Revenue Officer is responsible for supporting Retirement Village and Residential Aged Care operations through the accurate and timely processing of revenue billing, receipting, account reconciliation, and debt management activities. The role ensures revenue integrity, compliance with legislative and organisational requirements, and the delivery of high-quality customer service to residents, authorised representatives, and internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Billings Resident Life Cycle Management
- Manage the end-to-end resident billing process for Residential Aged Care and Retirement Living residents.
- Maintain accurate resident account records, including admissions, transfers, discharges, and fee updates.
- Process resident fees, payments, refunds, account adjustments, and RAD transactions.
- Monitor outstanding accounts, undertake debt collection activities, and resolve billing enquiries.
- Reconcile resident accounts and maintain Means Tested Care Fee assessments and contributions.
- Prepare and process monthly billing cycles, direct debits, and payment allocations.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, funding requirements, and legislative obligations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and deliver high-quality customer service.
Customer Engagement
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to billing and account enquiries in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Investigate and resolve billing queries, disputes, and account discrepancies to achieve positive customer outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, authorised representatives, and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate fees, charges, account balances, and payment arrangements clearly and empathetically.

About You:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Revenue Services, preferably within Aged Care, Retirement Living, Health, or Community Services is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of billing processes, account reconciliation, debt management, and financial administration.
- Knowledge of Residential Aged Care and Retirement Living funding arrangements, fee structures, and relevant legislation is desirable.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and maintain an elevated level of accuracy and high diligence.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience using financial, billing, or customer management systems; Epicor experience is desirable.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, technologies, and processes.
