Your New Role Looks Like This:

At Australian Unity, our Wealth and Capital Markets (W&CM) division supports customers through customer-first investment solutions across Funds Management, Social Infrastructure, and our AU Life Business. We’re now looking for a data-savvy and collaborative Product Analyst to help drive smarter product decisions and deliver exceptional outcomes for our members.

As a Product Analyst, you’ll work at the heart of a cross-functional team – partnering with product, legal, operations, digital, sales and marketing teams – to bring to life customer-centric and commercially sound product solutions.

You’ll turn insights into action, support the development and maintenance of our product suite, and ensure we’re always delivering value in line with regulatory and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across W&CM to understand business goals and deliver data-driven product insights and recommendations.
  • Draft, update and maintain key product materials including Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), customer forms and regulatory documents.
  • Support the design and delivery of enhancements across active and legacy products, ensuring they meet customer needs and commercial outcomes.
  • Analyse key product metrics to drive improvements and maintain compliance with RG46, DDO and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate QA and stakeholder reviews to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
  • Translate complex or technical product information into simple, customer-friendly communications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within product operations.
  • Lead or support product-related initiatives, from early-stage scoping and drafting through to stakeholder sign-off and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and timely Target Market Determinations (TMDs) and DDO reporting.
  • Assist in managing product-related incidents, reducing rework, and ensuring continuous compliance.

About You:

  • 1-2 years experience in a product, BI, data analysis, or regulatory/compliance-focused role (ideally in financial services).
  • Tertiary qualification (highly regarded)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights and simplify complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – you’re confident writing product documentation and customer communications.
  • A strong understanding (or appetite to learn) regulatory requirements including DDO and RG46.
  • A collaborative and detail-oriented approach – you’re comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
