Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

This newly created role of Portfolio Facilities Manager (PFM) is a key strategic role within the Australian Unity Healthcare Property Portfolio. The role is primarily responsible for overseeing and assisting with facilities management, ESG projects, risk management, compliance, capital projects and other operational facets of the portfolio.

 

The role is responsible and accountable for the overall asset risk and compliance for the portfolio. This position reports to the Head of Direct Healthcare Property and works closely with other members of the Australian Unity Funds Management business.

 

  • National HPT Team FM Support: Provide strategic FM guidance across the healthcare property portfolio, including oversight of capex planning, procurement and FM provider performance.
  • Operational Procedures & Reporting: Ensure consistent, best-practice operational standards by managing risk, compliance, documentation, incident processes and ESG initiatives.
  • Contractor & Consultant Management: Lead contractor governance, tender oversight and performance management to ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary FM contact, building strong relationships and influencing outcomes across internal teams, tenants and external property management partners.
  • Compliance & Governance: Uphold all safety, OHS, regulatory and policy requirements while maintaining robust documentation and supporting a safe, compliant portfolio.

About You:

 

  • Over 10+ years of facility management exposure across multi-site environments and large complex facilities
  • Strong technical expertise across building operations, sustainability, contractor management, and risk and compliance.
  • Proven experience delivering or overseeing major capital expenditure projects across multi-site or portfolio environments.
  • Skilled in contractor and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence, negotiate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Experience reviewing commercial, legal and financial documentation to identify risks and ensure best-practice governance.
  • Proven capability in asset lifecycle planning, capex budgeting and long-term operational strategy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong ability to anticipate operational risks and implement effective mitigation strategies across a portfolio.
