Our Opportunity:
As a Payroll Business Analyst you will be required to work closely with the members of the People & Culture (P&C) Technology & Systems team across small to medium projects, including continuous improvement and defect management for all P&C systems. You will be responsible for the transition of new initiatives into the P&C Technology & Systems landscape and will facilitate the handover of business rules and processes to our operational teams. You will bring extensive experience within the payroll compliance space, including an understanding of payroll integrations to this role as well as strong payroll analysis skills; ensuring a detailed review is documented thoroughly for the purpose of delivering the findings to senior stakeholders within People & Culture.
Accountabilities will include:
- All aspects of the requirements specification deliverables, including the analysis and documentation of current state, maintenance of process maps & data models, development of internal and external integration diagrams & articulating impacts to downstream systems and technology
- Facilitate requirement gathering workshops with different parts of the business to elicit requirements and articulate business needs. Using an innovative approach that satisfies stakeholders and demonstrates their buy-in
- Overseeing all aspects of testing and support the delivery of BAU & continuous improvement items across all P&C systems.
- Developing project documentation such as business requirements, use cases, user stories, business processes, user acceptance criteria, implementation and support testing.
- Contributing to scrum ceremonies such as Backlog Grooming, Estimations, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Showcases, and Retrospectives
- Managing the analysis and dissemination of complex information and business rules across teams, acting as the conduit between developer, testers and other specialist resources to enable informed business decisions and service level improvements
- Creating and maintain system workbooks to ensure all configuration requirements are clearly documented and align with system build.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following capability/experience:
- In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance requirements
- Demonstrated cross-functional experience in a Business and IT environment working as a Business Analyst.
- Experience as a Business Analyst on a Payroll implementation, upgrade or business as usual activities.
- Strong documentation skills, with a focus on business process and functional specifications
- Experience on Projects using SAP’s Employee Central and Employee Central Payroll will be viewed positively.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal relationship building
- Demonstrated strong experience in Stakeholder Management, with the ability to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders and teams.
- Experienced in the use of JIRA for managing backlogs and driving reporting and Visio or a similar tool for process mapping
