Your New Role Looks Like This:
As an Onboarding Consultant you will be responsible for managing the right to work and background check processes for our recently acquired employees of the My Home Care Business. You will support employees and people leaders who need assistance navigating the onboarding process, this includes dealing with any onboarding queries they may have as well as handling any escalations.
Please note that this is a 3 month fixed term contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee the end to end right to work and background checking process for transferring employees.
- Handle escalations related to right to work and background checks, including supporting people leaders and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of background check results and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Provide guidance and support to transferring employees throughout the onboarding process.
- Assist employees in understanding and completing necessary documentation.
- Address any concerns or questions employees may have regarding their background checks
- Identify areas for improvement in the background checking and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with the People Stream Lead, to implement process enhancements.
- Stay updated on best practices and legal requirements related to background checks.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (highly regarded)
- Proven experience in HR, particularly in onboarding and compliance.
- Strong understanding of right to work and background check processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Ability to accurately maintain records without error.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
