Our Opportunity:
The Network and Infrastructure Operations Lead is an important role in bringing together our partners, managed service run teams, and our local workforce in order to maintain the uptime, currency and a health risk profile of our core infrastructure services.
You will be responsible for team leadership, managing partners and infrastructure across physical sites in a national footprint as well as collaborating with Cloud technology and security peers.
Accountabilities include:
- Lead a small AU team and managed service providers to deliver core 24/7 IT services to Australian Unity Lines of Business which covers Data Centre Infrastructure (including cloud VMs, virtualization services e.g. Citrix), network, remote sites, database and storage
- Manage and ensure full value is realised from strategic vendor partner relationships, including management of outsourced onshore/offshore infrastructure partners.
- Work with partners to evaluate capacity forecasting (compute, storage, recovery platform) to management layer
- Deliver and drive uplift in operational continuity by providing foundational IT services that are highly available, highly resilience to disruption (e.g. Disaster /Cyber attack), and rapidly able to recover from failure.
- Ensure each service provider has effective business continuity/ disaster recovery plans and that there are business continuity and disaster recovery plans in place for end-to-end services.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation & ensure they understand the scope & value of Customer, Digital & Technology services so that they see us as a vital enabler of their business strategy
About You:
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Infrastructure management experience
- Experience of working in a multi-sourced environment with effective and contractual service integration across the suppliers
- Leadership Experience - managing offshore service providers and managed service teams
- Exceptional collaboration and partnering skills
