Your role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Legal Counsel to support our contemporary Trustee Services business.
Reporting to the General Manager, Legal & Governance Wealth and Capital Markets, you will provide high quality and client-focused legal services and support, including advising on financial administration clients, deceased estates, and private, charitable and native title trusts.
You will be tasked with providing professional, independent minded, and pragmatic legal advice for a wide range of matters affecting our Trustee Company and its clients; manage complaints, litigation and disputes; contribute to legal education and upskilling for Trustee Services; and provide risk and due diligence assessments of new business opportunities.
About you
- Tertiary qualified (Law) coupled with a current practicing certificate
- 5-10 years’ experience in wills and estates, elder law and succession law
- You will be a skilled communicator with the proven ability to influence stakeholders at varying levels, and be able to resolve complex problems both strategically and commercially
- You will be known for your capability to execute effectively with a client focussed delivery approach
- You’re collaborative with experience in and passion for adding to the team and organisational culture
- You are comfortable working autonomously and managing competing priorities with minimal supervision.
