Your New Role Looks Like This:
As a Junior AI Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our existing automation applications, platforms and new projects while developing the skills to help us integrate next-generation AI technologies into our Automation ecosystem.
This is a hands-on learning role, ideal for someone who loves solving problems, thrives on technical challenges, and wants to build a career at the intersection of automation and AI. You’ll be supported by experienced Senior Engineers / Leads, gaining real-world experience across the full automation and AI lifecycle while contributing to meaningful, enterprise-wide innovation.
What You’ll Do
-
Support the delivery of new automations and enhancements, following approved patterns and contributing to design, testing, and deployment.
-
Maintain and enhance existing automations across platforms such as Appian, UiPath, and Power Automate, ensuring reliability, performance, and compliance.
-
Monitor and troubleshoot automation jobs and investigating alerts and applying standard fixes where needed.
-
Support deployment and testing activities across environments under supervision and document the run book and change records
-
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying automation stability and efficiency opportunities.
-
Participate in AI skills development, including hands-on proof-of-concept work exploring AI-powered automation components.
-
Collaborate closely with senior engineers/leads to implement opportunities where AI (e.g., classification, summarisation, or routing models) can complement or replace traditional automation techniques.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement by tracking operational metrics, refining processes, and helping prepare systems for AI-readiness.
-
Stay curious and keep learning. You’ll be encouraged to build your technical AI and Automation skillset through structured training and on-the-job experience.
About You
You’re a curious, detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys learning how things work — and making them work better. You’re ready to turn your interest in technology, automation, and AI into practical skills and real-world experience.
You might be a recent graduate or someone with up to a couple of years of experience in software development, automation, or data — but what matters most is your profound passion for AI and automation, and your willingness to learn, experiment, and grow. You’ll have the support of experienced mentors who’ll help you build not just technical depth, but also the broader capability to deliver automation and AI solutions end-to-end — from ideation and stakeholder engagement, through design, development, and deployment, to ongoing support and optimisation.
You’ll bring:
-
Up to 2 years experience or study in AI/ML and software development.
-
Strong analytical and documentation skills with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
