Our Opportunity:
Reporting into the GM of Enterprise Technology, the Head of People Systems is responsible for the effective administration, currency, security and risk posture, and enhancement of Australian Unity’s people systems and associated technology. Working with People & Culture product owners and leadership, and the broader enterprise community, the role will deliver ongoing operations of People Systems and proactively manage the delivery pipeline of enhancements to achieve the business’ growth agenda.
The role requires effective management of strategic vendors and contract input, essential to the success of the People Systems stack; as well as providing leadership, direction and oversight of a team of people system and technology system subject matter experts.
Accountabilities will include:
- Technology Ownership of the People Systems stack
- Developing a technology roadmap (in conjunction with Architecture and business Leadership) for the People Systems stack to address currency, risk reduction and capability uplift
- Maintain backlog of change requests and ticket governance for internal and external system enhancements including defects, fail and fix items and tech debt.
- Work closely with business leaders to identify areas where solutions can be leveraged to improve business processes and outcomes and manage complex organisational change.
- Oversee the development of new technology systems and applications, including managing software development and testing, and ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
- Role model the aspired leadership behaviors to source, lead, develop & retain high quality team members
About You:
To be successful in the role you will have deep experience in managing and enhancing people technology for an organisation of 5000+ employees, including a working knowledge and understanding of the latest HRIS technologies and roadmaps. Further to this you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in vendor management of outsourced technical services.
- A proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams.
- Experience working closely with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Strong Cloud based software product management
