About the Opportunity

 

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Group Operational Resilience, Third Party and Project Risk to join our Group Risk and Compliance team.

 

Reporting to the General Manager, Group Risk and Compliance, you’ll lead second-line risk oversight across operational resilience, critical suppliers and major projects. You’ll work with senior leaders across the Group to strengthen business continuity, crisis preparedness and third-party risk practices, while supporting compliance with APRA CPS 230.

 

This is an influential leadership role suited to someone who can provide trusted advice, constructively challenge the business and translate complex regulatory requirements into practical outcomes.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leading the Group’s operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management programs
  • Overseeing compliance with APRA CPS 230, including critical operations, material service providers and resilience testing
  • Partnering with Procurement to strengthen third-party risk and material supplier oversight
  • Providing risk advice across major projects, technology initiatives and strategic programs
  • Leading assurance activities across operational resilience, third-party and project risk controls
  • Providing clear risk insights and reporting to executives, governance committees and regulators
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and building risk capability across the Group

 

About You

 

You’re a senior risk leader with strong experience across operational resilience, operational risk, assurance, compliance or audit within a complex and regulated organisation.

 

You bring a practical and commercially minded approach, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and navigate complex regulatory requirements.

 

You will bring:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and 10+ years’ experience in risk, assurance, compliance or audit
  • Strong operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management experience
  • Working knowledge of APRA CPS 230 and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Experience overseeing third-party risk, outsourcing and material service providers
  • Experience providing risk oversight across major projects or transformation programs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and gain support for key initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a complex and changing environment
