Your New Role:
Your newly created role of Head of Community, Volunteers and Better Together, is responsible for the three domains of Lifestyle and Community, Volunteers, and additional (AS) / extra service (ES) offerings.
The role is responsible to support each Aged Care residence to achieve success and compliance through streamlining of processes and driving best practice and proactive corporate and site based continuous improvement. The role works collaboratively with facility teams and national support roles to embrace the operations team to achieve success.
Key Role Objectives:
Reporting to the General Manager – Quality, your new role will include the following key role objectives:
- Streamline lifestyle program across all facilities and lead implementation of new programs to enhance lifestyle offering.
- Establish business understanding for lifestyle minimum offerings including social, religious, physical, community, tactile and passive lifestyle programs.
- Complete facility reviews of documentation, observations, and participation to ensure lifestyle programs meet policy, procedure, and compliance requirements under the new Standard 7
- Ensure through auditing, monitoring, education, and discussion that all facilities are completing lifestyle assessments, care plans, progress notes and other documentation in line with expectations and schedule to a high-quality content.
- Develop and implement an end-to-end volunteer management approach including recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention for all homes.
- Support the review, embedding and delivery of both AS and ES offerings and act as the responsible person for AU for AS/ES offerings.
- Initiate, contribute to and lead projects as required or allocated, including supporting facilities to embed process changes and projects into operations.
About you:
Above all, you will be an accomplished Aged Care Lead or Manager, with experience developing and implementing programs of work, including Leisure/Lifestyle or projects related to Volunteer/Workforce.
You will also have experience in assessing and evaluating programs around compliance, policy and procedural requirements and to ensure they are meeting resident and site needs.
Your stakeholder management and engagement combined with your ability to lead and implement project and program requirements at site level, will ensure total value is derived from our programs and resident care and wellbeing outcomes are achieved effectively.

Does this sound like you?
- Certificate IV in leisure & lifestyles or greater qualifications
- Bachelor qualifications in dementia care are highly desirable.
- Ideally experienced in Aged Care operations
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Fully vaccinated for Influenza and Covid 19.
