About the Opportunity

 

Reporting to the National General Manager Residential Aged Care, the General Manager Residential Aged Care Operations is a key executive leadership role responsible for operational performance across our national portfolio of 12 Residential Aged Care communities.

 

Leading a team of General Managers and senior operational leaders, you will drive exceptional resident outcomes, workforce performance, regulatory excellence and commercial sustainability across the portfolio.

 

This role will play a critical part in shaping Australian Unity's response to ongoing aged care reform while supporting the next phase of growth for one of Australia's most respected residential aged care providers.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead operational performance across a national portfolio of 12 Residential Aged Care communities
  • Drive outstanding resident, family and customer experiences
  • Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Quality Standards and all regulatory obligations
  • Lead workforce capability, workforce sustainability and care minute performance
  • Develop and lead high-performing operational leadership teams
  • Deliver sustainable commercial, occupancy and quality outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement, risk management and governance initiatives
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to deliver strategic transformation and growth priorities
  • Support integration opportunities across Residential Aged Care and Retirement Communities

About You

 

You are a proven executive leader with significant experience leading large-scale, multi-site aged care operations.

 

You bring:

 

  • Senior leadership experience within Residential Aged Care
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed portfolios
  • Strong commercial acumen and accountability for P&L outcomes
  • Demonstrated success leading transformation, change and operational improvement programs
  • Strong understanding of the Australian aged care regulatory environment
  • Proven capability to build and develop high-performing leadership teams
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

 

Highly regarded:

 

  • Experience leading portfolios of five or more aged care homes
  • Multi-state operational leadership experience
  • Clinical qualifications or strong clinical governance expertise
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams and boards
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business, Health or Leadership
