Reporting to the Head of Government Funding, the Funding Specialist ensures a strategic approach to the identification and application of funding streams including government subsidies.

 

The role provides subject matter expertise, support and coaching to the regional facility-based funding teams and those involved in supporting and ensuring that accurate funding is received to support resident care requirements.

 

The Funding Specialist drives the regional facility-based teams to implement continuous monitoring processes of subsidy application and management processes to ensure appropriate skill, knowledge and capability exists within the business, to support appropriate application of funding to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with all regulatory, operational, and financial obligations. 

 

The role could be appointed in either Sydney or Brisbane.

 

About the Role: 

 

The Funding Specialist will manage and deliver the following: 

·       Engage a pro-active approach to all things funding to ensure accurate and reflective funding in all streams is identified, actioned, and received in a timely manner.

·       Maintain solid oversight of a monitoring systems that identifies and tracks applications for assessments and reassessments of care recipients and receipt of AN-ACC, Enteral and Oxygen subsidies.

·       Lead, mentor and deliver on the robustness, integrity, and corporate governance of AN-ACC clinical records, processes, and reporting.

·       Develop, maintain, and support effective communications with internal and external stakeholders including regular reporting in relation to the application and receipt of subsidies.

·       Work collaboratively and effectively with Clinical Care Managers, Care Managers, Clinical teams, Care teams, Funding staff, General Managers, and the Operations team by providing sound advice and support to ensure care planning and assessments accurately reflect care needs of the care recipients that can be translated into AN-ACC claim.

·       Maintain regular and routine reporting to the business for weekly, monthly and ad hoc reporting.

·       Educate, provide supervision, mentoring and support to build the capacity and capability of employees in relation to the completion of care assessments and/or care plans that relate to time staff spend in care of residents. 

 

About You: 

 

You will be an experienced and accomplished Registered Nurse, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience across clinical care and funding.

You will possess and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and business partnering experince, including working with Site General Managers (Facility Managers) and other senior leaders, in order to develop and achieve excellent results with funding at a site level. 

The following minimum experience, qualifications, licenses and/or registrations are required:

 

• AHPRA Registered Nurse 

• Post Graduate Qualifications are desirable
