Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

As a Financial Crime Analyst, you will be a key part of the current AML project and transition to the ongoing Wealth & Capital Markets (W&CM) embedded Financial Crime function.

 

The role will be responsible for W&CM first line defence relating to AML/CTF and fraud processes including:

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and efficient completion of initial and ongoing ECDD processes as well as maintaining client files in alignment with Australian Unity WCM AML/CTF program.
  • Conducting investigations on potential suspicious transaction alerts effectively and prepare good quality SMRs.
  • Preparing regular reports on KYC, TM, ECDD and Screening progress and provide status updates to the Sr. Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Investigate high-risk entities, reviewing data related to ownership, control, and ultimate beneficiaries as well as identifying legal representatives and authorized signatories.
  • Work closely with various business units during investor onboarding and ongoing customer due diligence processes.
  • Engage and collaborate with business, technology, and data stakeholders as well as external vendors.
  • Manage the development of AML Program documentation related to program enhancements, revisions, updating policies and procedures and field communications.
  • Monitoring foreign tax status of Investors and completing yearly reporting

 

 

About You:

 

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in similar roles within financial services industry
  • Preferred qualification in AML ACAMS
  • Knowledge of ASIC and APRA as well as AML/CTF and FATCA/CRS legislation
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and excellent communication with problem-solving skills. 
  • A strong sense of professional curiosity and purpose, with a willingness to learn
  • Experience in using Atlassian tools such as Jira.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, coordination and time management skills
  • Proven experience in AML Transaction Monitoring Rule Development and Optimisation
