About the Opportunity:
This is a key leadership role within our Finance & Strategy function, supporting the Platforms business (Human Services - Aged Care and Home Health). Partnering closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide strong financial control, insightful reporting and commercial support that enables informed decision-making and drives performance.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthening financial control frameworks and leading a high-performing team. You will work closely with Commercial Finance and broader Finance teams to enhance processes, uplift controls and support the delivery of the finance transformation agenda.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of accurate, timely monthly financial results, including P&L and balance sheet review and commentary
- Oversee general ledger integrity, reconciliations and financial data accuracy across underlying systems
- Partner with Commercial Finance to support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting frameworks
- Provide constructive challenge across financial processes, including accruals, provisions and revenue recognition
- Support statutory, regulatory and tax reporting, including BAS, FBT and annual returns
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and strong governance practices
- Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives to enhance control, efficiency and quality outcomes
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across Finance, Commercial and operational teams
- Lead, coach and develop a team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Contribute to risk management, compliance and governance activities across Finance
About You:
You’re an experienced finance professional with a strong foundation in financial control, reporting and process improvement. You bring a commercial mindset, attention to detail and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial outcomes.
You thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing technical excellence with leadership and collaboration. You’re passionate about continuous improvement and building strong financial control environments that support business performance.
You will have:
- Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or a related field; CA/CPA qualification essential
- 8+ years’ experience in financial and management accounting roles within complex organisations
- Strong knowledge of financial control, reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to partner with the business to deliver insights
- Demonstrated experience in financial systems and tools (e.g. TM1, SUN, Blackline) with advanced Excel capability
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes
- Experience leading and developing teams, fostering a high-performance culture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to navigate change and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvement and enhancing financial controls
