About This Opportunity
The primary objective of this role is to assist the Financial Control Manager to provide timely, accurate and commercially focused financial and management accounting support. This role is also technology savvy, a strong team player who will work closely and build strong relationships with the broader Group Finance & Strategy to achieve its efficiencies goal.
About the role
- Assist with timely and precise month-end and year-end close, ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage accruals, prepayments and general journal postings
- Perform and ensure accuracy and timeliness in balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist and contribute in annual budgeting and ongoing Forecasting
- Ensure accurate monthly BAS and yearly FBT entertainment register and checklist
- Assist in the production, finalization and delivery of the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual management reporting packs / statutory reporting packs in an accurate and timely manner
- Participate in and support the delivery of internal and external audit processes in an effective and timely manner
- Assist and participate in the production, finalization and delivery of quarterly rolling forecast, strategic planning and budget reset processes for the business unit (P&L, Balance sheet, Capex and PIPs);
- Maintain effective and healthy partnering relationships with stakeholders
- Assist Financial Control Manager in collaborating across functions to deliver on process improvements, key initiatives and drive customer obsession
About you
- Newly or part CA/CPA qualified
- 4+ years relevant financial and management accounting will be advantageous
- Solid experience in system processes, variance analysis, reconciliations, issue resolution, journal processing
- Advanced Excel skills, tech savvy and computer literate in a range of financial software and accounting packages (e.g. SUN, Coupa, Concur and Blackline)
- Excellent attention to detail
