Our opportunity
This role is responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the Accounts Payable function with a focus on customer outcomes. This will in turn support business activities to improve output, quality, and overall organisational performance.
Your key accountabilities will include (but not limited to);
- Accounts Payable Management - Acting as the key subject matter expert in RedMap. Driving the design and implementation of process improvements to current systems and procedures. Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and assisting with the identification of potential risks
- Process Leadership & Development - Contribute to the development of a client focused performance culture in the Finance team. Additionally, effectively manage business processing services by ensure that SLAs, KPIs and risks are being monitored and appropriately escalated.
- Accounts Payable Management – Ensure the accurate and timely supplier payments, ensuring timely and accurate reports are generated for management, ensure vendor enquiries are managed professionally and in a timely manner. Develop and maintain financial policy documentation, process manuals, user manuals. Additionally, provide recommendations and relevant information to management to enable informed decisions about suppliers, payments, and cash flow forecasting in line with month end timetable and policies.
- Process Leadership & Development - Lead the analysis of existing process: Problem/objective statement, Key measures of success and data collection planning, Detailed analysis of the as-is process
About you
We are searching for a professional who will join us in striving to live our values of bold, warm and honest, in everything we do.
Your expertise and qualifications will include:
- Relevant tertiary qualification coupled with Membership of a recognised accounting body (CA or CPA qualified)
- High competence utilising Microsoft Excel (formatting, pivot tables, analysis, and formulae).
- 2 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Experience using AP Automation Scanning Solution is preferred
- Understanding of agile working environment.
- Experienced developed in cash flow reporting/cash flow projection.
- Demonstrated team management and people development.
- A process and change agent mindset.
- Strong organisational abilities.
- Customer service focused with experience dealing with suppliers and internal managers.
