Our Opportunity:
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing and overseeing the long-term business and technology architecture solutions that will affect the broad enterprise landscape. You will develop and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and blueprints in collaboration with business owners and executives in line with the enterprise investment plans and risk appetite. Working closely with domain and solution architects you will assist, guide, and align the use of appropriate organisational capabilities, guardrails, practices, and technologies whilst considering Australian Unity’s overall business aims and outcomes.
Accountabilities include:
- Act as a trusted advisor to drive business adoption and leverage enterprise technology platforms aligned with business domain strategy, goals, objectives, digital capabilities and solutions.
- Lead the long-term (3-5 years) business capability and technology strategy discussions across the enterprise and business domains along with architecture work plans to progress the enterprise architecture.
- Communicate the business and technology architecture vision and roadmap that will deliver business domain goals and objectives.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and adoption of technology solutions that drive business value and enable digital transformation.
- Develop enterprise blueprints describing the organisation approved portfolio of technology platforms and promote reuse.
- Develop and contribute to standards, guardrails and principles pertaining to technology usage and adoption.
- Lead applications simplification and consolidation initiative in the areas of coverage in support of broader enterprise technology simplification strategy
- Align and support the architectural governance processes including the review and approval of new technology initiatives
About You:
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities/experience:
- Advanced degree in computing, computer science, business / information systems or other IT related field
- 10+ years in business and/or technology strategic and operational planning as an Enterprise or Domain Architect advisor. 10+ years in these areas: Business Architecture, Business Capability Assessment, Data / Information Architecture, Technology Architecture, Integration Architecture and Solution Architecture
- Deep experience influencing and managing stakeholders
- Proven experience with customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow and Dynamic365.
- Proven experience with business process automation platforms and core business systems supporting Health, Insurances and Wealth & Capital Markets sectors.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, microservices frameworks, and API-enablement platforms such as webMethods.
- The ability to think strategically and create a vision for the future of enterprise architecture in collaboration with the business subject matter experts and other architects.
