Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

The Digital Business Analyst is responsible for leading all the analysis activities on initiatives from inception through to delivery. The role also takes on the responsibilities of a Scrum master, required to work with an agile mindset facilitating agile ceremonies, leading the squad and developing user stories.

 

The role will also be expected to contribute to thought leadership and offer technical guidance across application and solution development lifecycle to ensure alignment to Australian Unity’s strategy and desired customer outcomes. 

 

The role requires expertise in the development of project documentation such as project briefs, business requirements, use cases, user stories, UX design specs, business processes, user acceptance criteria, UAT scripts, implementation and developing test cases.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Define and own Digital standards, including but not limited to accessibility, digital design, security, compliance, content management and publishing. 
  • Devise a framework to ensure digital initiatives are planned and executed in accordance with a secure, compliant and future-proofed Digital ecosystem across disparate platforms and multiple external partners and digital channel standards are adhered to.
  • Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Guide and coach the team on Agile practices and self-organization.
  • Establish and improve application monitoring processes and controls to detect and prevent incidents and excessive risk.
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve all incidents related to Digital operations to ensure systems are maintained to a high level of security, availability and reliability.
  • Take full ownership of incoming actions and issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve business processes and accelerate growth through analysis, as well as operational execution.
  • Creation, roll out & ownership of processes and tools to improve internal efficiency.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to other business areas to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practice and ensure insights are communicated across teams.

 

 

About You:

  • Experience in a similar role within the financial services or insurance industry
  • Qualifications in Information Technology,  Business, eCommerce, Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience building digital governance frameworks and best practice processes for operational excellence.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and Lean principles.
  • Optimising digital channel operations for complex product/service offerings.
  • Experience in operational risk and controls, compliance issues management.
  • Well-developed project documentation and management practices
  • Strongly familiar with all aspects of planning operating best practice, compliant Digital activity, platforms and ecosystems, including influencing prioritisation and budgeting decision in a business-oriented role.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar tools.
