About the Opportunity

 

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity. 

 

We’re looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to join our Insurances Technology team. 

 

You’ll lead an onshore and offshore technology platform squad supporting Insurances and Enabling Functions, driving the delivery of strategic technology roadmap initiatives across core insurance platforms, Salesforce CRM, digital services, integrations, infrastructure uplift, cloud modernisation, security and compliance activities, and legacy technology estates. 

 

You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Technology Leads and business stakeholders to shape priorities, manage dependencies and deliver technology outcomes that improve platform stability, operational efficiency, member experience and business agility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex technology challenges, building high-performing teams and turning strategic priorities into tangible outcomes. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Leading a cross-functional technology platform squad to deliver technology roadmap initiatives and platform modernisation outcomes 

  • Managing delivery across applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud and legacy technology platforms 

  • Partnering with Product Owners, Architects and stakeholders to define priorities, roadmaps and delivery outcomes 

  • Driving delivery of upgrades, lifecycle management, technical debt reduction and risk remediation initiatives 

  • Facilitating Agile ceremonies and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement 

  • Managing delivery plans, risks, dependencies, resources and governance reporting 

  • Coordinating delivery across internal teams, vendors and managed service providers 

  • Removing roadblocks and ensuring development, testing, release management, security and governance practices are followed 

  • Leveraging delivery metrics and flow data to improve predictability, transparency and squad performance 

  • Coaching and mentoring team members while building delivery capability across the squad 

  • Supporting operational resilience, platform stability and continuous service improvement activities 

 

 

About You 

 

You’re an experienced technology delivery professional who combines strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of enterprise technology platforms and modern delivery practices. You’re comfortable leading cross-functional teams through complex technology initiatives and have a proven ability to navigate competing priorities while maintaining stakeholder confidence. 

 

You bring a practical and outcome-focused approach to delivery and can engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. You have experience operating within complex environments and understand how to balance roadmap delivery, operational support, risk management and platform sustainability. 

 

Ideally, you’ll have experience within insurance, financial services or other regulated industries and have delivered technology initiatives spanning applications, integrations, infrastructure and cloud platforms. You enjoy developing people, improving ways of working and creating an environment where teams can perform at their best. 

 

You will bring: 

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in technology delivery management or technology leadership roles 

  • Experience delivering complex application and understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, networking, integration and backend technology environments 

  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban and flow-based delivery practices 

  • Experience leading, coaching and developing cross-functional technology teams 

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills 

  • Confidence managing risks, dependencies, budgets, vendors, resources and competing priorities 

  • Experience using Jira, Confluence and reporting tools to drive delivery transparency and performance insights 

  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, release management and environment management practices 

  • Experience delivering technology roadmap, platform modernisation, infrastructure lifecycle management or technical debt reduction initiatives 

  • Previous experience as a Developer, Solution Architect, Technical Lead or Engineering Lead would be highly regarded 

  • Experience working with distributed onshore/offshore teams and third-party vendors would be advantageous
