About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Incident Response and Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our growing security team. In this role, you’ll lead complex Level 3 investigations, hunt advanced threats, and help uplift Australian Unity’s defensive capabilities across a growing and multi‑cloud environment.

Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and support Level 3 incident response investigations
• Analyse IOCs, logs, behaviours and attack flows across enterprise systems
• Proactively hunt for threats that evade traditional detection
• Work closely with internal teams and outsourced SOC partners
• Manage containment, remediation and recovery activities
• Maintain IR plans, playbooks and cyber documentation
• Provide clear reporting and insights to uplift our security posture
• Participate in on‑call rotation as part of a small, specialised team

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of industry experience in cyber security, including 3+ years in Level 3 IR or threat hunting
•  Strong experience with Splunk, SIEM/SOAR tools and forensic fundamentals
• Ability to interpret complex logs, malware behaviours and TTPs
• Calm under pressure, analytical and a fast‑learner
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder skills
• Relevant certifications (GIAC, OSCP) highly regarded
