About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Incident Response and Threat Intelligence Analyst to join our growing security team. In this role, you’ll lead complex Level 3 investigations, hunt advanced threats, and help uplift Australian Unity’s defensive capabilities across a growing and multi‑cloud environment.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and support Level 3 incident response investigations
- Analyse IOCs, logs, behaviours and attack flows across enterprise systems
- Proactively hunt for threats that evade traditional detection
- Work closely with internal teams and outsourced SOC partners
- Manage containment, remediation and recovery activities
- Maintain IR plans, playbooks and cyber documentation
- Provide clear reporting and insights to uplift our security posture
- Participate in on‑call rotation as part of a small, specialised team
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of industry experience in cyber security, including 3+ years in Level 3 IR or threat hunting
- Strong experience with Splunk, SIEM/SOAR tools and forensic fundamentals
- Ability to interpret complex logs, malware behaviours and TTPs
- Calm under pressure, analytical and a fast‑learner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder skills
- Relevant certifications (GIAC, OSCP) highly regarded
