The Opportunity
The Finance Business Partner provides strategic financial leadership to business units, translating complex data into actionable insights. They partner with operations, wellbeing, funding team, group finance and leadership teams to drive profitability, optimize costs, and align financial plans with company goals. This role reports to the Commercial Manager and is a nine - month Fixed Term Contract.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial models for assigned business units.
- Analyze financial performance, variances, and KPIs; deliver insights on profitability, cost drivers, and revenue opportunities.
- Advise senior leaders on investment decisions and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial initiatives and process improvements.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive and GM review.
- Monitor Profit and Loss statement, cash flow, working capital, and risk exposure; recommend mitigation strategies.
- Lead financial aspects of projects, including scenario modelling and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regulatory reporting (e.g., ACFR, QFR, permitted use audits) and risk management for refundable deposits or capital projects.
- Perform other ad hoc duties and projects as directed by the manager or senior leadership.
About you
You are a proactive and collaborative professional with strong analytical and modelling abilities. You will have a commercial mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills. You will possess strong problem-solving capabilities, high attention to detail combined with a big picture perspective.
You bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA, CPA certification preferred).
- 5-8 years of progressive finance experience, including business partnering or FP&A roles.
- Advanced Excel skills; (experience with BI tools preferred, e.g., Power BI, Tableau and ERP systems preferred e.g., SAP, Epicor).
- Financial experience in residential aged care, including familiarity with RADs, AN-ACC funding and the Aged Care Act 2024(preferred)..
