Your New Role Looks Like This:
At Australian Unity, we’re dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of our clients — helping them protect, manage, and grow their financial wellbeing with care and integrity. Within our Client Services team, our Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) play a key role in providing end-to-end service and support to our clients, including those who rely on us for financial administration and trustee services.
We currently have two exciting opportunities available, one permanent position and one 12-month fixed term contract — for motivated professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact through client care and financial stewardship.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll combine strong relationship management, financial oversight, and empathetic client service to ensure every client’s unique needs are understood and supported.
What You’ll Do:
As a Client Relationship Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, ensuring they receive exceptional service at every stage of their journey, from onboarding to ongoing management and review.
You will:

- Manage client portfolios day-to-day, ensuring budgets, assets, and records are accurate and well-maintained.
- Develop and maintain client budgets and investment reviews, ensuring financial decisions align with client goals and Tribunal requirements.
- Attend annual client meetings and State-based Tribunal hearings, either in person or online.
- Document all client interactions clearly and thoroughly, supporting transparency and compliance.
- Make informed financial and administrative decisions in line with internal frameworks and professional guidance.
- Engage with clients and their support networks to ensure decisions reflect their needs, values, and best interests.
- Ensure appropriate structures and protections are in place, including insurance, to safeguard client assets.
- Collaborate with internal specialists and external advisers, ensuring Statements of Advice and recommendations are implemented effectively.
- Contribute to a culture of care and continuous learning, supporting colleagues and seeking opportunities to build your financial and investment knowledge.
About You
You are an empathetic, organised, and detail-oriented professional who thrives on building meaningful client relationships. You bring:
- Experience in client relationship or portfolio management, ideally within financial services, trustee, or fiduciary environments.
- Strong financial acumen, including comfort with budgets, reports, and investment concepts.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Guardianship and Administration Act 2019; Administration and Probate Act 1958 and the Privacy Act
- Capacity to acquire knowledge relating to the administration of trusts, and financial administration legislation in all jurisdictions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate sensitive or complex client situations with compassion and professionalism.
